Another fairly unusual blend of grapes. Part of the blend is fermented and aged in oak barrels, making for a surprisingly complex and inviting nose, with notes of honeysuckle, spiced apple pie, peach, lime oil and subtle oak vanillin. The palate is equally inviting and full of interesting flavours and textures, offering gently zesty citrus and white fruit flavours, along with subtle notes of garrigue herbs and peppery spice, all wrapped around a core of mouth-watering acidity, again with a long, cool, minty/spicy finish. Another gorgeous wine, equally suited to sipping on the patio or paired with food, from one of the most reliable growers on our list. |
